Dreaming in Denim

Images via fashiongonerogue.com
I love the use of denim in these ads, and especially the mix of yellow and blue. Even though the first look includes pieces that are all the same color, it doesn't look monotone.

Lookbook Favorites

I love looking through Lookbook...am I the only one who goes to Lookbook, and then after a few pages checks the clock only to realize it's three hours later? The outfits seem to never end- every time you scroll down, the next set of outfits load. I love these looks above, but my favorite is without a doubt the one below, if only because I'm a sucker for a blazer with a strong shoulder:

Fishtail braids have always been a mystery to me.

The Ultimate in Cool

Via Studded Hearts
Erin Wasson looks like the epitomy of cool in this shoot, so much so that I can't help wanting to be her just a little bit every time I look through these pictures. What's even more interesting is that a few of the shots had a little bit of a Carrie-Bradshaw feel to them (Maybe it was the cigarette held nonchalantly in one hand...?).

After seeing this movie up on the homepage of Bloglovin for a few weeks now, I finally decided to check it out. I am a huge fan of Aimee's blog, Song of Style, and love her style. This video is adorable!

Also, I'm in love with this top:

If this top were mine, I'd pair it with a pair of flowy pants that tighten around the ankles, or a pair of high-waisted shorts.

Sunshine, Bright Colors, Beautiful Clothes

Looks from the Threadsence Summer 2010 LookBook. I love the bright pops of color...and the high-socks-with-shoes look.

Giselle? Is that you?

Via Studded Hearts

Roberto Cavalli recently released their ad campaign for Fall/Winter 2010, featuring Giselle Bundchen...I think. Is it just me, or was her face insanely retouched? Considering Giselle is one of the most successful models (not to mention one of the few remaining models that is a household name) of the moment, I'm not sure why retouching her face beyond recognition was so necessary. Face aside, the photos are quite beautiful, especially with the fire in the background.

I love photo shoots that look wearable. I love the lace shoes, heart tights, and knee-high ruffled socks. Oh, and the large bow.

I Heart Ronson for JC Penney

Via Fashionista.com

I'm pleasantly surprised about Charlotte Ronson's line for JC Penney. It's actually completely shocking to me that anything this nice could come from JC Penney, but then again, I am judging it off of the only JC Penney's that I ever visit (A poorly maintained location in rural Maine), so maybe that's not the best example for comparison. Anyway, highlights from this collection are the tights, leopard print shoes (and the black ones, for that matter), the shorts in the second picture, and the floral skirts. There's actually not too much to dislike about this collection, although I can't say that I would wear most of these items the way they're styled. But hey, if they look good individually, I'm willing to look past the styling. Check out the collection for yourself here:

Catching up...

Via The Sartorialist

This post is more about catching up on a few random pictures I've collected over the past few weeks. As for the dress pictured above, it was love at first sight.

Speaking of dresses I'm in love with... this dress by Mango looks like the perfect summer dress, but also looks like it could be worked into your fall/winter wardrobe as well. Ah, it is so beautiful!

Sooo cool. I love the mix of plastic with reality.

Ah, Youth.

Via Studded Hearts
I love the effortless and carefree feel of this shoot. Fashion shoots at times can be so serious and extreme (which, don't get me wrong, I love), so it's refreshing when one comes along that's more fun and keeps it simple. I also love that the photos' primary focus doesn't appear to be the fashion and styling, and that the woman being dressed so well is just an afterthought. Okay, so I could go on and on, but I'll just end it by saying I love these pictures!

Chanel Iman for The Block

All via fashiongonerogue.com

This photo shoot (shot by Doug Inglish) speaks for itself-it's beautiful, magical, and straight out of a fairy tale, one that I wish I could have read as a child.

Gary Pepper Vintage

During my usual Drink-my-coffee-while-simultaneously-catching-up-with-the-20-blogs-I-follow routine, I stumbled upon a video of behind the scenes footage for a shoot by Gary Pepper Vintage. It was an adorably candid video that followed one very well styled girl throughout the photo shoot, and is definitely worth a view, if only to listen to the song they used (which I HAVE to find out the name & artist of!). Check it out here: http://studdedhearts.blogspot.com/2010/07/garypeppervintage.html
For those that love the styling and clothing, check out http://www.garypeppervintage.blogspot.com/ to follow their blog. Lastly, a quick look through their lookbook is highly recommended. I really, really love that delicate pink lace dress in the second picture.
